Phokyar elephant camp is situated on the way to Mandalay near by Naypyidaw. So, we recommend this trip for all travelers who have already plan to be on the way to Mandalay, Bagan and Inle Lake from Yangon. Pho Kuaw forest resort is a foot-hill of Bago Yoma mountain ranges lies within the Saing Ya tropical reserved forests, 10 miles away from west of Chargaya, the main gate way is on the Yangon-Mandalay motorway, 204 miles away from Yangon.

Pho Kyar forest resort is recently emerged as an ideal eco-tourism spot being having a special privilege of occupying a prime location. And having a more than 150 years old teak and other commercial trees species within the camp is a credit for our clients. In and around the camp fragrance of the seasonal flowering trees and wild orchids, the humming and chit-chatting of birds would give you a gentle smile. And also we do recommend some travelers who has some spare time for two day trip from Yangon. It is quite easy to be there from Yangon by car for three hours drving. This trip is two day one night trip from Yangon and one night stop trip for all traveler who will be on this highway. This tour is combination of easy elephant riding and demonstration of their timber production and dancing. Food to feed for elephant is already included on mention price. You can show your loving kindness to elephant by feeding them at the camp.

Itinerary

Yangon – Pho Kyar Elephant Camp -Yangon / Bagan / Mandalay / Inle Lake
(2 days / 1 night)

Day ( 1 ) Yangon  – Pho kyar Elephant Camp

After leisure morning, start your journey to Pho Kayar Elephabt camp. On the way, you make half day sightseeing in Bagan and have a lunch there. ( If you prefer to visit nature places, we do recommend to visit Hlawgar National Park or Moeyingyi Resort on the way) After lunch, we will continue to Phokyar Elephant Camp. Half day journey to there is a discovery trip in the middle Myanmar. In the evening, arrive at Phokyar Elephant Camp and take your time easy. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the resort.

Day ( 2  ) Phokyar Elephant Resort

Phokyar forest resort is an ideal place to explore the daily life of mahouts  and their elephants. You can study how they live together, what is their daily life. Excursion by elephant trekking in the forest will make you exciting as an adventure trip. Located on a foot-hill of Bago Yoma mountain ranges, Pho Kyar Elephant become an ideal eco-tourism spot of Myanmar. The 150-year-old teak trees, other commercial tree and some more species are within the camp. The fragrances of the seasonal flowers and wild orchids, the humming and chit-chatting of birds will take you to be in paradise. You canl enjoy the natural beauty of the deep jungle and study the daily working activities of elephants and their working in timber production with mahouts together. In the evening, we have a pleasant dinner and overnight stay the resort again.

Day ( 3 ) Phokyar Elephant Camp – Yangon / Bagan / Mandalay / Inle

After leisure breakfast time at the resort, we will check out and back to Yangon ot continue your trip. If you want to back to Yangon, you can leave from the camp not later than lunch time. But if you prefer to continue to Bagan, Mandalay or Inle Lake, you should start after breakfast. With hoping you will have great experiences at the cam, it will be at the end of your memorable trip with us.
