This resort has it all really. Its a lot bigger place that we would normally go to but has the massive bonus of being in full view of the ancient temples and stupas of Bagan. This is the overwhelming bonus of staying here. If you do decide to stop get one of the villas that overlook the lake that then overlooks the temples in the distance. These villas are massive with room after room. Admittedly the rooms are looking a bit tired now if you look closer at the fittings and fixtures but for 2 nights we were very satisfied. The pool was huge and deep and again looked onto the temples and was a refreshing escape from the heat. We had lunch by the pool both days and were impressed each time. We also ate at the hotel restaurant one night and again we were impressed by the food (we had Tuna Tartare as a starter). If you don't want to walk around the place they have buggies to get you around. We also used the Spa and treatments were excellent both times. They also have a viewing tower which has a restaurant in it and a bar area at the top. We only went upto see the 360degree view of the vista. This is a government run resort and I guess it lacks that western polish that you would normally expect but again for 2 nights it was perfectly comfortable and a good base to use for Bagan and its wonderful sights.
