Trip Overview
Naga Land Expedition is combination of cultural sightseeing at ancient Nagan village and soft trekking and walking. This tour is designed for all travelers who want to make an expedition trip to discover Naga villages by soft trekking. If you don’t want to trek, you can skip the trekking and visit some more authentic Naga villages near by road by driving. This tour is suitable for travelers who want to visit not touristy places and love adventure trip. Being a new travel destination in Myanmar, infrastructure in Naga Land is still very basic. All accommodation, toilet and bath room facility are very basic and poor. It means, all travels will need to stay at their traditional houses. But visiting to Naga villages is really memorable trip in Myanmar. It will send you back one century ago. We do recommend this trip for traveler who wants to make soft adventure tour to hill tribal villages. Trekking and walking among the beautiful forest mount, enjoy the nature of wild life, observe the way of life of mountain people and beauty of their tattooed faces will be main attraction of this tour. The main highlights on this trip are expedition old Naga villages in Lahe, Lashe and one the way, sightseeing at Khandi, Htamanthi and Homaline and boat trip from Hkamti to Homalin along the Chindwin River.

| Time for the trip: | From November to April are recommended, the best time will be on November, December, January and February. |
| Weather Info: | November to April will be hot in the day time but it will be cold in the morning and late afternoon. It will be 20oC- 25oC at day time and 2oC to 8oC at night time normally. June to October will be rain. |
| Accommodation: | One night at hotel, two night at small local guest houses and five nights at villages. We will provide good blanket and mattresses at the villages. |
| Bathrooms/shower on trek: | Bathroom with shower is available at the hotel. We do arrange to take a bath and watching the cloth in a private place at guest house and village houses. Toilet facility is very basic as eastern one. |
| Meals info: | All meals are included in your package. Lunch box is recommended for whole day trekking. |
| Notice : | It could be rain on trekking days (10 % ). Most of the sightseeing time will be on the mountain. Two days will be on jeep or 4 WD on the way to Naga Land. You should pack all properties and clothes to take on this trip carefully because it is adventure trip as trekking. Especially accommodation, bath and shower room and toilet facility are very poor. |

Itinerary
Detail Itinerary: Yangon / Mandalay – Khanti – Lahe – Homemalin – Dep:

Day 1. Arrival Khanti, Naga Land by flight (-/L/D)
On arrive at Khamti airport, proceed to the town and we will have lunch at a local restaurant. After take a short rest at Aye Kaung Myaung guest house, start our down town sightseeing which included Naga Traditional Museum and Naga traditional field which is the most popular place for their new year festival and dancing place. In the evening, we will stroll around the town and visit Nanthargone Naga village, Chinese temple. Dinner at a restaurant and one night stop at the guest house.
Day 2.Khanti – Laheby 4 WD (B/L/D)
In the morning, proceed to Sinthay village by boat and take a truck or 4WD to Lahe by 6 hours driving. This adventure driving passing through the tribal villages and forest mountain range will be highlight of the day. On the way, visit some Naga villages(Sanpya and Gahone villages ) and make a nice stop at Tainenyo view point for photography. In the evening, arrive at Lahe and sightseeing around the town will be done. Lying on the 2430 meter mountain range, it will be cold climate. Dinner and overnight stay at Naga traditional house will give you to be in authentic local atmosphere.
Day 3 Lahe Sightseeing by 4WD & Trekking (B/L/D)
In the morning, visit Ma Kyan Naga village by scenic driving along forest mountain range for about one hour. Sightseeing in the village and visit some Naga family traditional house. It is one of the old Makyan Naga trip villages. After lunch, trek to Karlan and Myoma village near Lahal. Dinner and overnight will be at Naga traditional house again.
Day 4 Lahe Sightseeing by 4WD & Trekking ( B / L/ D )
Today sightseeing will be in Gahone Naga villages by truck and trekking in the morning. We can see authentic cultural of Naga people in these villages. Stay living on their traditional way, it will be highlight of the day. In the evening, walk to Hwehtike and Lonkhin Naga villages for our evening sightseeing. Dinner and overnight will be at the same traditional house again.
Day 5 Lahe – Khanti by 4WD ( B /L /D )
After morning sightseeing in Lahe, proceed back to Khamti by our truck. It will be same way back and visit some rest villages on the way back.
In the evening, some more sightseeing by strolling around the town and enjoy the sunset on the bank of the Chindwin River. Dinner at a restaurant and overnight will be in guest house again.
Day 6.Khanti – Htamanthi – Lashi ( B / L/ D )
After breakfast, get on boat for Chindwin River sightseeing by public boat for 6 hours driving. Have a lunch at a small restaurant at Htamanthiand transfer to Lashi by 4 hours driving for 46 miles. In the evening, arrive at Lashi and check in at the small local guest house. If time permit, we can stroll around the small town, Lashi.
Day 7& 8.Lashi( B/ L/D )
Layshi was established on the same date of Kohima in India by British in the colonial time. Most of the Naga people are animist and depend on the nature. They are hunters and so call worriers of western Myanmar. In our village sightseeing, we will visit some of their traditional houses decorated with skulls, horns, tooth, and bones of the animals which were hunted themselves. They are proud for all of these decorations as displaying in frond of their houses. We will visit PeineKone , Sat Pyar, Dainglain and Yetaung Para Naga villages while we are in Lashi. It will be 2 whole day2 trekking around Laysito visittribal villages. Dinner and night stop will be at a traditional house or, chatting with local people will serve you to be in really night-style of Naga Land.
Day 9.Lashi- Htamanthi - Homalin (B/L/D)
After breakfast at Lashi, proceed to Htanmanthi by our 4WD. After lunch stop at Htamanthi, we will take a boat and enjoy the scenic driving to Homalin. It will take about 6 hours boat driving in the river. In the evening, arrive at Homalin and transfer to a guest house. Dinner and night stop will be at there.
Day 10.Homalin – Departure to Mandalay (B/L/-)
Morning leisure and sightseeing in the small town. Upon to your flight time, transfer to airport for departure.
