Trip Overview

Padaung long neck women village and old Kayar village sightseeing at Loikaw is new tour in Myanmar tourism.  This trip is designed to visit colorful hill tribal village to see authentic cultural beautiful of Padaung and Kayar minority at Lokaw in Kayar state which border with Thailand. You can visit there from Yangon by flight Inle lake by boat and car. The main highlights are visiting Kayan Padaung, long neck women  villages, ancient Kayar villageand some historical places in Loikaw by a private car. On the way to Loikaw, you can see colorful tribal villages along scenic driving. In our experience, most of the clients visited there as their extension trip from Inle Lake. We do recommend this tour for any travelers who want to make an expectation to new tribal travel destination in Myanmar.

Itinerary

Padaung and Kayar tribal village sightseeing :
Inle Lake- Loikaw – Kalaw / Inle
( 3 Days / 2 Nights )

Day 1.InLe Lake – Loikaw

After breakfast at your hotel, check out form your hotel and start your scenic driving to Loikaw. On the way, you will visit some Pao villages and lunch stop will be in Pinlaung. In the late evening, arrive at Loikaw and check in at your hotel. After take a short rest, we will make city sightseeing which include holy pagoda, Taungkwe Pagaod and some old historical monument in the town. Dinner will be at a restaurant and overnight at the hotel in Loikaw.

Day 2.Loikaw sightseeing

After breakfast, one and half hour drive to Padaung native village called "Pan-pet". In this old village, only the Padaung races are living. We will seed their traditional clothing and long ring deceration on their neck, lad and hand. Not only thise traditinla clothing but also we will see autherntic way of lift of Padaung people in the village. After lunch, we will make another one and half hour scenice driving to old Kayar village which lines far from the city. This village is one of the unique old villages of the orginal trip called Kayar tribe in their Kayar state. Most of the women are still using their traditional clothes as in the picture. In the late evening, return to Liokaw to observe the traditional ways of living of Kayah national races. Dinner will be at a restaurant and overnight stay at the same hotel in Loikaw.

Day 3.Loikaw –  Kalaw

After sightseeing morning market, start scenic driving again back to KalaW. On the way, we will visit some village of the hill tribes and Myinmahtite cave. We will see many Buddha statues in the cave. We will arrive Kalaw in the evening. After check in hotel, shell we take a short rest till dinner time. Kalaw is on the high elevation and famous as British hill station. So, it one of the best places to take a rest in Shan state. The cold climate will serve you to be pleasure. Overnight will be at a good hotel in Kalaw.

( If you want to back to Inle lake or drive to Pindaya from Loikaw on the same day, it is possible to do that.)

Important notes for the booking procedure of your trekking trip

We would like to request all of our clients to book this tour at least 90 days prior or more to your arrival date to Myanmar. Less than 90 days will be on request and subjected to available of our professional tour leader and accommodation.
