TaungPyone festival is one the greatest Nat festivals in Myanmar. Especially for the people who believe in natsand spirits. The festival will be celebrated in central Myanmar, near Mandalay on the 12th October, 2015. It is a wonderful festival that people carry out worshipping and praying to the two nat-kings – which we call, in Burmese, Taung-pyone-min.
The duration is around seven days, and in those days, the festival is very well-attended as well as very prosperous with special offering for the nat brothers and special music for them at the time of propitiation. It is also proper for foreign visitors to have photos and documentaries.
We do recommend any traveler who has already arrived Mandalay on those days. It will take about one hour driving from Mandalay. You can enjoy the festival whole day. Some of the visitors will spend their time till at the night. Not only the festival but also the way of life of the people can be seen in the village.

Started from the 10th day after the full-moon day of Wah-khaung, it lasts for about five days. The place is Amapura region, Mandalay. It will be crowded with offering, dancing and special Nats music. Famous as the mother of Taung-pyonenat festival, it is, in fact in Myanmar, for the people who have a strong belief in the power of nats, one of the greatest festivals.

It is a well-known festival in Myanmar, usually held on 26th of October, the day before the full-moon day, in Kyaut-Se` which is situated in Mandalay division. Though it is called, in Myanmar, elephants’ dance festival, it is not actually performed by elephants, but by men who stay inside elephant statues, made of clothes. Seeing and feeling the dance of elephants, amongst Myanmar traditional orchestras and the sound of open-ended drums with a long body, the festival is eminent, around Myanmar, among Myanmar people and even a fascination for foreigners who will surely have an interest in it by the time of observing it. It will take about one hour driving from Mandalay. You can make day return visit to Elephant dancing festival from Mandalay and can be done en route sightseeing on the way to Inle Lake or Bagan from Mandalay.

This pagoda festival which takes place on Inlelake is one of the most famous festivals in Myanmar. From 14th to 31st October, people from all over Myanmar join in the celebration of the festival in Inlelake, which is beautiful with natural resources and the only place the leg-rowing on boat can be seen. Including boat races, which add as a beauty to the festival, it is very interesting for the reason that the Buddha images are taken by carrying on the raft, decorated with the shape of a Burmese mythical bird, which is traditionally rowed by leg. The festival is the most famous in Inle lake region and the vista of Inle attracts all the visitors together with the pleasant climate condition. They celebrate the biggest boat competition even at the end of the festival on 31st October at the holiest pagoda which names Phaung Taw Oo.
We do recommend this festival to all travelers who have already planned to visit Myanmar in coming October. Not only to see the festival but also sightseeing in Inle Lake. It is one of the must see sites in Myanmar.
