Itinerary

Putao and its Vicinity
5 Days / 4 Nights

Day 1.Putao Arrival

Upon arrival at Putao airport, you will be welcomed by our representative to pick you up to the downtown of Putao which lies in a flat valley, jumping-off point for trekkers who want to explore the region’s deep forests, wildlife sanctuaries and snow-capped mountains. After a brief fresh up at a local restaurant, check in for your accommodation.

After take a rest at your hotel or guest house, enjoy scenic driving to Mularshide village. After sightseeing in the village, we will walk on the beautiful bridge which over Mular river. Looking to the snowcap mountain from the bridge will be the best introduction to northern Myanmar. You will seed crystal ice white water on the rocky river “ Mular”. Fishing babies, women watching on the stone, bamboo-rafting men, kind fisher and sweet sound of the river will send you to back one century ago. Dinner will be at a local restaurant and night stop will be in Putao.

Day2: Putao morning market – Kaungmulone Pagoda-Manhkuk village, Nankhan Village –Machanbaw -Putao

After breakfast at the hotel, visit Putao Morning Market and stroll around town to observe the way of life of the people. After leisure morning sightseeing, proceed to Kaungmulone Pagoda which stands on the bank of the Malikha river and famous as the most holiest place of the northern Myanmar. We will enjoy the scenic driving and visit some lize and lawan village on the way. After visiting KaungmulonePagaoda, drive again to Mankuk village and trek to Nankhan village for our lunch and sightseeing.

After lunch, drive to Machanbaw to visit stone dragon and Gubar historical monument which famous as governor house in the previous time and famous for her location of the river bank. In the late afternoon, take a boat to make Malikha River sightseeing. Visiting Nat Island will be highlight of the day. In the evening, drive back to Putao and Night stop at the same place.

Day 3: Putao- Shankaung village

After breakfast, visit Putao Morning Market and trek to Makyawwa Lisu Village for sightseeing by strolling around the village. And then, drive to Shankhaung village which lies behind the evergreen forest Jade mountain on the north-east point of Putao. On the way, visit MarmuleLizu village, MudoneRawan village. In the evening, arrive at Shangaung village and take a short rest at a Rawan house which lines on the bank of the river. Evening village sightseeing will take you back one century ago. You can visit river site, lize and Rawan traditional houses and their familes. Dinner and night stop at the village will be good experience in northern Myanmar.

Day 4: Shankaung village – Mt. Shankhaung – Putao

In the early morning enjoy your breakfast and start trekking on the shoulder of Mt. Shankhaung which is famous for it’s evergreen rain forest and jade mine. It will be the best trekking and give you nature and wild life experiences. The trek to the summit of Mt.Shangaung with the distance of 10 km will take about 4 hours trek. The first 9 Km will be straight up along the trail winding up to the top of the mountain. After lunch and enjoy the panoramic view of the Putao at the top of the mountain, the trail will go down with 9 km to the village on the same trail. On arrival at the village, take your leisure at Rawan house or along the rocky river. Dinner and night stop will be at the same village.

Day 5: Shanguang – Putao – Mandalay / Yangon

In the early morning, transfer back to Putao to visit the morning market and have breakfast at a local restaurant. After that, visit Hakaborazi and Phoneganrazi national parts wild life education center, ForthHatzand transfer to airport for your domestic flight to Yangon or Mandalay. If time permitted, you will visit a villages to observe daily lifestyle of local people.

Based on twin share accommodation in united state dollars.

All of the above mention pricing will validity form 1st Oct, 2015 to 31st May 2016. This pricing is just only for your private tour. If you want to combine with other group, the price will be much lower than as mention.We offer optional Putao sightseeing and additional nights at a hotel or guest house in Putao just for our own clients.

All guest houses mention in the web are belong to local community. Staying at one of these two guest houses will support local people by promoting responsible tourism in Putao. If you prefer to stay at a guest house, the price is lower. For luxury tours and traveler, we offer hotel Putao and Malikha lodge.
