Itinerary

Yangon-Thanlyin- Dala-Bago-Yangon
( 5 Days / 4 Nights )

Day 1.Yangon Arrival

Arrive at Yangon International Airport, warmly welcome by our company representative and you can start sightseeing which include Shwedagon pagoda, it is the most popular land mark of Myanmar and the most beautifully majestic pagoda all over the world, historic Botahtaung pagoda, Chaukhtatgyi reclining Buddha image, Strand hotel which is one of the most famous historic colonial buildings in Asia and earliest 5 star hotel in the country and river site of Yangon. After that, walk around the China town to see the real life of the people in the city. Overnight will be at a hotel in Yangon.

Day 2 .Yangon – Golden Rock

Straight out of Yangon by car after breakfast, then stop at the War cemetery in Htauk-kyan (a small busy town with a tiny local market) just outside Yangon. Past the Bago Division filled with fields of paddy, peas and beans, and reach another minute town, named Waw, with lots of opened fish placed in the scorching sun to get dry at the roadside. Arrive at the Sittaung River (formerly the Sittang River) that separates the division and the Mon State. Cross the bridge, start seeing the rubber forest, the today identity of Mon land, then get the truck – there is an occasional alternate system between the trucks and bamboo-sedan-chairs carried by four men from halfway to the top – up to the Golden Rock after lunch. Enjoy the sunset at the Golden Rock where Buddha’s hair is believed to be pied inside. It is one of the holiest sites in Myanmar where huge number of Burmese pilgrims go to annually. The massive golden top rock is in the amazing precarious position at the edge of the based boulder. Overnight will be at a hotel on the hill side.

Day 3.Golden Rock - Bago – Yangon

On this day, tour highlights are Mon ancient monuments in Bago, which lies 60km north from Yangon. Bago sightseeing will include Kyikepun( four faces Pagoda ), Mon weaving villages, Kyatkhatwine Buddhist monastery, Shwetharlyaung reclining Buddha image and Shwemawdaw Pagoda. After lunch, we visit golden Kanbawzathardi Palace of King Bayintnaung and Hinthargone hill, which is the highest place of the region and sources of Bago. In the evening, we drive back to Yangon and enjoy the sunset on the highway. Overnight will be at a hotel in  Yangon.

Day 4.Yangon - Thanlyin - Dala – Yangon

After breakfast, we’ll discover Thanlyin, a small town, once conquered by the Portugese people in early 19th century. It is located on the other side of Yangon River. On the way, we will visit over 2000- year old Kyikekhauk pagoda which is the tallest golden stupa in Thanlyin. We will make a short boat trip to histories pagoda on a small island. After lunch, back to Yangon and take a ferry boat to Dala which lies on the other side of the Yangon River. Sightseeing by trishaw, will take you one century back. Visiting busy evening market and villages will be evening highlights. On the way back to Yangon, we’ll enjoy the sunset on boat. Night stop will be at the same hotel in Yangon.

Day 5.Yangon (Departure)

After leisure morning, we will pick you up at your hotel and transfer to Yangon International Airport for your onward departure flight. It will be the end of your great experience on your wonderful trip with Travel Expert.
