One of our company’s professional English speaking tour leaders will come and pick you up at your hotel on your appointment time ( about 8 am ). In the morning, we will drive to Thanlyin, a small town, once conquered by the Portugese people in early 19th century. It is located on the other side of Yangon River. On the way, we will visit over 2000- year old Kyikekhauk pagoda which is the most tallest golden stupa in Thanlyin. We will make a short boat trip to historical pagoda on a small island. After morning sightseeing, enjoy inclusive Myanmar traditional lunch at a restaurant. After lunch, back to Yangon en route stop at Padagui historical Sitting Buddha Statue and take a ferry boat to Dala which lies on the other side of Yangon River. Visiting Shwesaryan Pagoda, busy evening market and villages by trishaw, will take you one century back. On the way back to Yangon, we’ll enjoy the sunset on boat. Upon arrival at Yangon, proceed back to your hotel and it will be the end of one day sightseeing with Travel Expert.

THANLYIN (Syriam) : Located about 40 km away from Yangon ( a 45 minutes drive) is Thanlyin, occupied by the Portuguese in the early 17th Century as a trading port, and still boasting old buildings as evidence of this interesting era. Of course, Thanlyin is home to impressive pagodas such as Kyaik-Khauk Pagoda, Heindu Temple, Phadagyi Pagoda and Kyauktan (Ye-le) Pagoda each with its own special architecture and before entering the town, cross almost 2km long bridge over the mighty Bago River. If you have time in Yangon, don’t miss making the half day excursion to the small town.
Dala : Situated on the Bank of the Twante canal and Yangon River, ferry boat trip will give you excellent opportunity to see the rural life of the local people living on the other side of the river. Being famous for its history and standing as a small village, it is now visited by tourists who wish to see authentic culture and way of life of the people by taking a three wheels bike.
