Trip Overview

One of our company’s professional English speaking tour leaders will come and pick you up at your hotel on your appointment time ( about 8 am ). In the morning, we will drive to Bago for one and half hour. Enjoy the scenic driving and see the way of the people on the countryside. On our arrival at Bago, we will make first visit to Kyikepun four faces Pagoda  and Kyatkahwine monastery to see the daily activities of the Buddhism monks on their offering alms food time. After that , enjoy the Myanmar traditional lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, tour highlights are Mon ancient monuments in Bago, Shwetharlyaung reclining Buddha image and Shwemawdaw Pagoda and golden Kanbawzathardi Palace of King Bayintnaung and Hinthargone hill, which is the highest place of the region and sources of Bago. In the evening, we will drive back to Yangon and enjoy the sunset on the highway. Upon arrival in Yangon, proceed to your hotel and it will be the end of your sightseeing with Travel Expert.

BAGO : Situated only 80km from Yangon, Bago is one of the major archeological sites in Myanmar, having being of 15th century royal capital of Mon Kingdom. Today a large busy town, it hosts many grand Buddha images, including a massive reclining Buddha, ornate pagodas and monasteries, including the Kyahat wine making monastery, and old palace ruins. The palace dates back to the time of King Bayinnaung.
